The Underwriting Specialist ‘TUS’ is a part of the NBS Group, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. With a wide range of London Market experience within our team, TUS are focused on underwriting professional indemnity ‘PI’ insurance.
Our PI product covers damages to professionals and their clients, with a range of coverage options and a comprehensive policy. It is open to an array of UK based SME’s, including architects, design & construct risks, engineers, property professionals (inc chartered surveyors) and miscellaneous risks, with our full appetite list available to download from our documents page along with our wordings, summary sheets and proposal forms (you will need to login to gain access to this page).
This competitive product is underwritten on behalf of Accelerant, offering limits up to £5M both in the aggregate and any one claim.
Accelerant is built by senior insurance industry veterans with experience with program carriers, reinsurance and program administration. It’s earned an AM Best rating of A- (Excellent).
LEGAL SERVICES
We have appointed Caytons Law as our Claims Management and Legal Services partner. They provide us with a comprehensive claim’s administration and management service and their advice to us on all claims related matters covers PI.

Excess of Loss Facility
Our target for this facility is 5 X 5 but we will consider any attachment points with limits up to £5m, including 3 X 2.
Our appetite remains similar to our primary appetite, but we can consider bigger risks.

Minimum £2,000,000 attachment point.

No excess layers above Accelerant primary offerings, either from us or other MGAs.

Risks to be located in the UK.

All policies can be written on an Any One Claim or In the Aggregate basis.
